The pineapple is an exceptionally juicy fruit, which has a vibrant tropical aroma. It presents a tasty balance between sweet taste and acid. It is the most popular tropical fruit in the world, after the banana.

Its flesh is juicy, fibrous, and yellow to white. The area near the base of the fruit is higher in carbohydrate content, therefore a sweeter taste and a more tender texture. However, oh, surprise!
